Hugging a Redwood

We thought the Redwoods were absolutely amazing. It was my first time seeing them EVER. This is a picture of Cayden hugging a Redwood. It is hard to see him but he is there and LITTLE compared to the tree.

Redwoods and Brookings

We took one last camping trip of the summer down to the Redwoods and near Brookings on the coast. The following are a few of our pictures. I took all of these with my camera on my phone as my other camera isn't working well. There are a bunch of special effects I can use.

The boys in black and white

Nana's footprints on the beach. She loves the beach.

Cayden and dad "being crabby"

Black and white while we are waiting on construction

Cayden's newest

Cayden lost his second tooth. First of all, he is still afraid of the tooth fairy and tooth #2 is sitting outside this very moment waiting for the tooth fairy. But, tonight, he asked to see his tooth before it went outside and he said, "I remember it being bigger. How come teeth always look bigger in the mirror?"

I giggled and told him that was true. Funny boy.

Okay, so the pictures aren't great but Cayden and I finally got around to making a "rainbow cake" to take to a party that we went to. It did make a mess to make but it was a hit. Very colorful. We had some leftover batter and made some cupcakes too. They didn't have as many colors but still tasted yummy. The best thing about the cake is that you frost it and no one knows that the cake is so colorful until they cut into it.

Bryce likes to help us pick "weeds" which are a lot of times my actual flowers. Cayden put this one behind Bryce's ear and it turned out to be a cute picture.

That was funny

Tonight on the way to the County Fair I was telling Cayden that I didn't know how long we would stay. I just haven't been feeling great the last couple of days. I told Cayden that "maybe I have a bit of a bug." He says, "yeah, maybe the tail." What a kid! Hope I get rid of the bug's tail soon!
