Me at the pool

As most of you know (because I have been bragging about it for months) I got to go on a Caribbean cruise with my mom and my sister this summer. We just returned home. Actually, I am still at the airport and thought I would put a few pictures on here. We had a fantastic, phenomenal time. The weather was great (mostly) and the ship was unbelievable.

What Cayden said

Cayden is known for his amazing ability to hear the quietest noise or conversation. We are forever amazed by what he can hear. We were worried when he was younger because he had so many ear infections that he might have some permanent damage. 99% of the time we know it is not true but every once in a while he hears something incorrectly and it makes us laugh.

Cayden to Jeff (while driving through Idaho): Daddy, what is that stinky smell?

Jeff to Cayden: I don't know Cayden, maybe it is cows?

Cayden to Jeff: Daddy it can't be, owls don't smell bad!

Both of us: Laughing, laughing, laughing, owls? Where did you hear owls?

Jeff to Cayden (after regaining his composure): How do you know owls don't smell bad?

Cayden: I just do.

Missing Anything?

Cayden turned to me today while we were out eating pizza with something in his hand. It took me a few moments to realize that it was his tooth which he has been wiggling for ages now. We were very excited. Tonight, when it came time to get ready for bed and to decide what to do with his tooth Cayden got a very stressed look on his face. He decided to put it in a cup and when I asked him where he was going to put the cup he started to cry. It finally came out that he didn't want the tooth fairy in his room. So, we settled on a table in the living room but he still wanted to sleep with Jeff and me. We eventually settled on leaving the tooth in the cup out on the table on the porch and I promised I would lock the door. Where does this kid get his fear of the tooth fairy? The whole time I am trying not to giggle because most children are excited to lose their first tooth and get their loot from the good ole tooth fairy. Who knew she could invoke fear in the heart of children everywhere (or at least at our house)? I love his innocence ;)

The note says, "Dear tooth fairy, can you try to give me tow(two) or three dollars, Cayden"

The tooth is in the bottom of the cup.

New grin.

Cayden at the Enchanted Forest

We went to the beach last week with my mom and I only took a few pictures. Sometimes I am just not motivated to get the camera out. I took these few with my phone and have finally gotten the card so that I can post them on here. I am going to try to not be so lazy in Hawaii. Wish me luck!
